Dr. DeMassa has been training in martial arts for over 30 years and has been teaching for 20 years. In 1995, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Biology from Springfield College. In December of 2000, Dr. DeMassa graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport as a Doctor of Chiropractic. (visit drdemassa.com)
He completed over 300 hours of post-graduate education in Chiropractic Neurology and received a post-doctorate qualification in the treatment of ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral disorders from the Carrick Institute in 2001. Dr. DeMassa also furthered his education by earning his Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 2006, where he is currently an Adjunct Professor for the Maternal and Child Health course for the Chiropractic College. Dr. DeMassa has also lectured for the International Chiropractic Association Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
In 2005, Dr. DeMassa combined his knowledge and experience to create, NEURON-DO®, a brain-based martial art that integrates physical movements of TaeKwon-Do with cognitive learning strategies. Through NEURON-DO® one follows “the way of the neuron” to unlock the secrets of the martial arts.
